"For me, every stroke is a heartbeat of a memory. I don't just paint what I see; I paint how it felt to be there."
Rutik Kumbhar was born in 2001 in Lhasurne, a small village in the Satara district of Maharashtra. Growing up surrounded by the raw, natural beauty of rural India, he developed an early obsession with the interplay of light and shadow on the landscape. This village upbringing remains a core influence in his "Rural Calm" series.
His formal training began at Satara College of Arts, where he mastered the fundamentals of sketching. However, it was at the prestigious Abhinav Kala Mahavidyalaya, Pune, that he truly found his voice. Specializing in Applied Art, Rutik graduated in 2021 with a deep understanding of commercial aesthetics and fine art techniques.
In a world increasingly dominated by digital photography, Rutik recognized a craving for something tactile and soul-stirring. He pioneered a signature style of "Live Wedding Painting" in Maharashtra, bringing a classical European tradition to the vibrant, high-energy environment of Indian weddings.
Today, Rutik operates studios in Satara and Pune, serving a diverse clientele from corporate leaders to families looking to preserve their legacy on canvas.
